This area is really the focal point of daily activities and has everything to offer you. Extend your stay, have a chat to the staff about where to go the next day or sup a cool beer.

We sell t-shirts, stamps, postcards, film, disposable cameras, rent hairdryers, padlocks, adaptors and towels and receive lots of friendly advice.

You can also do your foreign exchange, check the weather forecast and find out what are the happening events in Cape Town!

Our receptionist can also book all your day trips, car hire, adventure activities, Kruger Park tours and even a big overland safari if you like.

CHILL ROOM

Write a postcard, drink a coollie, watch a movie or an exciting sport event. This stylishly decorated comfortable room will draw you back time and time again.

BREAKFAST

If you are too lazy to make your own bacon and eggs, don’t worry – be happy; we can do it for you. Continental and cooked breaksfasts available.

INTERNET TERMINALS

Internet access is available so you can keep in touch with the rest of the world. What better way to update your friends and family on your (mis) adventures in Africa and Cape Town. It costs R25 for an hour, but you don’t have to use it all in go.

SWIMMING POOL

Our sparkling swimming pool is great for those really hot summer days – and for those not-so-hot ones if you like. Newly re-furbed it’s great for a couple of laps.

COMMUNAL KITCHEN/BARBEQUE

For those of you who are cash-strapped or simply like to cook for yourself, we have a fully-equipped self-catering kitchen. You could use the barbeque too. The hot water is always bubbling here for your complimentary tea and coffee.

FAX AND MAIL HOLDING/EMAIL SERVICE

For your convenience we can send or receive faxes for you and hold your mail for you to collect. We also have a post box so you can be sure your postcard will get there! Stamps available at reception.

LAUNDRY SERVICE

Tired of doing laundry? You are on holiday after all. Just hand your laundry in at our reception and let us do the rest for you. Your laundry will be collected every morning and be delivered again the following day.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

Luggage storage is available for those who bring or buy far too much. It is specially convenient if you are going away for a short trip and don't want to drag your whole backpack along with you.

R5 per day. Only those who sign in, can sign out.

SECURITY

We have access control at our main gate and at entrance to the building. Secret pin numbers are given to you upon check-in which allow you 24-hour access. Our security guard from 5pm -7am ensures peace of mind for late arrivals and those traipsing home during the graveyard shift. All private rooms also have individual electronic safes for your personal items.

Receive a simcard with a local cellphone number when you check in for only R40! Your cellphone number will be emailed to you before you arrive in Capetown! Order now with us and you will receive a R25 pre-loaded airtime on your simcard. Send an email with your name, day of arrival, and booking reference number to simcard@ashanti.co.za, and your phone number will be emailed to you. Don’t forget to get your phone unblocked before you leave home!
