This course consists of a pool dive and theory session where the basic dive skills are introduced and practiced. Then we go for a sea dive at a suitable dive site around the peninsula. This is your best bet if your time in Cape Town is limited. You also have the option to dive in the aquarium or in a cage with the Great White sharks following this introductory course!

This course is the foundation of your diving future and by the end of it you will have sufficient confidence and skills to dive with a similarly qualified buddy anywhere in the world. You will complete 4 pool dives, 5 theory sessions and 5 sea dives. We give you that little bit extra and include 1 boat dives as part of the sea dives.

Now that you know the basics, why not get a taste of some of the many diverse and exciting areas of diving? In this course you will complete 5 dives, of which the navigation and deep dives are required and thereafter it is up to you to choose what interests you. You might want to try your hand at underwater photography, search & recovery diving, wreck diving or night diving to name a few.

The rescue course is hard work, but probably the course you will get the most satisfaction from completing. You will learn to deal with a number of rescue scenarios and get to practice them in the sea in simulations. In addition you will learn a number of techniques to make yourself a safer diver able to deal with your own and other diver's problems. The course is complemented by the EFR course which focuses on CPR, primary and secondary care and some general first aid rules.
