Experience this exciting and eco-friendly tour around the streets of soweto. Go out for a half day cycling around soweto and get to know the different communities and its history. Go to places such as a former men's hostel, meadowlands, mandela's house, hector pieterson memorial and vilakazi street. taste the famous soweto-burger, "kota" and finish the tour off with a cold beer and dance to local kwaito music at the shebeen. This is one of the best ways of meeting the people and see places. you will be introduced to soweto's many different faces and learn more about the soweto uprising and the resistance against apartheid and how the community has changed and developed to what it is today.
